Welcome to Lake Stevens Rowing Club's Youth Program! We're excited to offer young athletes a structured pathway to discover the sport of rowing and develop their skills on the water.
Our youth program provides a supportive environment where participants can progress from complete beginners to confident rowers. Through focused instruction and hands-on experience with our experienced coaching staff, young athletes build fundamental skills, water safety knowledge, and proper rowing technique.

Program Details:
Duration: 2 weeks
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Time: 3:15 PM - 5:15 PM
Cost: $100
After completing Level 1, rowers can advance to our Level 2 program to further develop their skills, followed by opportunities in our Spring Development Program. Our goal is to foster a love of rowing while building confidence, teamwork, and athletic ability. This progressive program is designed with the potential to develop into a competitive youth racing program, offering ambitious young rowers a path to racing opportunities in the future.

Friend Referral Program:
For anyone who has a friend sign up and attend a Learn to Row Course they receive a discounted rate of 25%!
The minimum height for youth rowers is 5 feet and they must have the ability to manage 40 lbs overhead, for safety.
LSRC Youth Coaching Staff
primary youth racing coach: Kendra Bodhaine
Kendra began her rowing career in 2001 as a member of the 2002 ERA Varsity Women's Lightweight team, competing at the National Championships. In 2003, she joined the Lake Stevens Rowing Club's inaugural junior team. The following year, Kendra earned a medal in the women’s lightweight single at the NW Regional Championships 2004.
In 2005, she started her coaching career as the Novice and Assistant Varsity Coach at LSRC while competing in the club's master's program. Over seven years, LSRC grew from a startup program to a successful club that won multiple Regional Championship titles and a gold, 2 silver and a bronze at the National Championships.
From 2013 to 2021, Kendra coached the Junior and master’s programs at ERA. She holds USRowing Level I and Level II Coaching Certifications. Throughout her 20 years in the sport, Kendra has enjoyed coaching rowers of all ages and skill levels and looks forward to continuing LSRC's legacy of success.
