  • The Spring Sprints Regatta is our own club’s regatta fundraiser. Youth, parents and adult rowers all participate. Stop watches, sighting bow numbers through binoculars, driving launches (need a current WA Boater’s License unless born before 1955), catering, safety checking rowing shells, etc. This event is fun and easy with training provided!

LSRC Youth Coaching Staff

primary youth racing coach: Kendra Bodhaine

Kendra began her rowing career in 2001 as a member of the 2002 ERA Varsity Women's Lightweight team, competing at the National Championships. In 2003, she joined the Lake Stevens Rowing Club's inaugural junior team. The following year, Kendra earned a medal in the women’s lightweight single at the NW Regional Championships 2004.

In 2005, she started her coaching career as the Novice and Assistant Varsity Coach at LSRC while competing in the club's master's program. Over seven years, LSRC grew from a startup program to a successful club that won multiple Regional Championship titles and a gold, 2 silver and a bronze at the National Championships.

From 2013 to 2021, Kendra coached the Junior and master’s programs at ERA. She holds USRowing Level I and Level II Coaching Certifications. Throughout her 20 years in the sport, Kendra has enjoyed coaching rowers of all ages and skill levels and looks forward to continuing LSRC's legacy of success.

LSRC helped me become a better version of me. I came in a very unsure, and broken guy, I was troubled, and had not a clue what an oar was (don’t call it a paddle). However, with the support of my team, which became my family, and the coaches who became my mentors, I found purpose in life, and passion in sport. LSRC gave me a place to brew dreams, decipher the future, celebrate life, and learn the most beautiful sport on earth.
